Well even a 11am doctor appt makes it very difficult to get out of the house with a newborn. We were almost late to Ty's first pediatrician appt. We were told that Ty is perfect at his appt. We are already knew that! The doctor said we should be ready for a big boy! He is back up to his birthweight of 8 pds, 6 ounces. They did not measure his length. He did really well with the exam and did not cry much.
After the appt we stopped at my work to drop off paperwork for FMLA. So, Ty was able to see where I work and meet with everyone. Of course everyone thought he was cute! We decided to rest up at home the rest of the afternoon. We are tired and lack of sleep has hit us.
We cannot wait for his umbilical cord to fall off. Matt started obssessing last night that is was infected. He spent hours researching online to make sure it was fine. We are finding that there is tons of conflicting information out there about how to take care of babies. Since the pediatrician looked at it today and she did not seemed concerned we will wait to get concerned if it looks red around it. It is funny how we already so worried about him and his health. :)
