WINTER MINI TRIP

In late February the three of us took a long weekend trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  We stayed at a  cabin with a wood burning fireplace and watched it lightly snow all weekend.  Just beautiful to drive around and see the snow covered with trees.  The temperatures were in the low to mid 20's though a bit windy.  It was a perfect weekend of relaxing and embracing what winter has to offer.  We also ate yummy food and stopped at a brewery.  We also took a hike and went cross country skiing one afternoon.  Since it was so windy Matt and I took turns skiing while the other stayed in the lodge. Lake Superior was just gorgeous with the ice and snow We had a great time and we would love to go back to the area some summer as we can just imagine how beautiful it is then.  Here are some pictures of the weekend:

Snoozing on the way home!

After getting walloped yesterday and today by 17 inches of snow in Green Bay we are ready for some spring weather.  We fortunately got in a couple of walks in the neighborhood last week, but it seems weird to have go through all this melting of snow again.  Sigh!  Maybe we will have to embrace the winter weather for another week or so?!?!
