I am not sure how the last 6 months flew by, but they sure did. It has been a wonderful, fulfilling six months for Matt and I. We cannot believe we were blessed with this sweet, perfect boy. I wish life could just slow down and we can soak in this time. We finally understand what everyone says when they say they grow up so fast.
Rocking out
Sweet boy
Ty had a great sixth month. He continues to be a happy baby who loves to laugh, giggle, and smile. He loves to watch people. We went to the zoo yesterday and he just stared at the people with very little interest in the animals. The big moose caught his attention though. Ty started in the older infant room at daycare last week and we can see that he is already learning things from the older kids. In the last two weeks he has started to sit on his own without assistance and when he is very excited his arms get flapping like a bird. He loves his new rock star toy where it sings songs and has a mirror for him to look at. Ty is starting to get frustrated if he drops a toy and can't reach it. He expects us to help him out and if we don't he can get mad. Ty's first bottom tooth also came in last week. He is now eating peaches, lentils, green beans, carrots, and peas. He loves it all! He is up to three solid meals a day.

Last Tuesday Ty had his 6 month doctor appointment. He weighed 19 pounds, 12 ounces and was 28 1/4 inches long. 88th percentile for weight and 96th percentile for height. Most one year olds are about 21-24 pounds and 30 inches long. So even though Ty is the youngest in his new room at daycare he is almost as big or even bigger than some of the other kids in his class. He had some more vaccines this month and he reacted a bit more strongly this time.
All decked out for the zoo!
We have had some quiet weekends at home lately. Though Matt and I enjoyed our afternoon at the beerfest last weekend. It was nice for us to get some time as a couple. We also are going to the pre-season Packer game Thurs night and my dad is coming to watch Ty. It should be a fun night. Ty will have his first experience camping in a tent this weekend. We are crossing our fingers it goes well and Ty loves camping as much as we do.
The recent pictures you put up are ADORABLE! He is changing so much. I love reading about him.
