FARGO & QUIET WEEKEND AT HOME

Last weekend we loaded up the car and Ty to venture 8 hours one way to Fargo.  We visited with our good friends.  Thank you for hosting us, Brenda and Tony!  We would say that Ty did very well for his longest road trip.  He would start fussing about 3-4 hours into the trip, so I would crawl to the backseat to entertain him and then we would stop and eat.  He did a bit better on the way out there than on the way home.  While in Fargo-we visited the zoo, ate at our favorite Indian place, drove past our old house (looks the same), and picked some yummy desserts from my favorite dessert place.  Brenda also put together another Baby Shower for Ty and I was able to see some old co-workers, scrapbook friends, and dinner club friends. It was a fun night! He got some more wonderful stuff, plus some clothes for the fall and winter.  While in Fargo Ty decided to try sleeping through the night.  On most nights he will sleep about 9 hours-Yeah!!!  It was a wonderful weekend and it was great to be in the place we spent the first three years of our married life together.  We have very fond memories of our time there.

All ready for his party

This past Thurs we hosted a small birthday party for my niece who turns 4 in Sept.  We had a dinosaur cake, pineapple and canadian bacon pizza for dinner.  I accidently bought the relighting candles.  My niece eyes just lit up when she saw her cake.  She told us it was the best birthday party ever!!  It so warmed our hearts.  This was a bittersweet night as we said goodbye to my brother's family until Christmas time.  :(

We miss you already!!

Ty enjoying the party as well

We were very happy to have a quiet weekend at home this week.  Ty was such a gem!  He was so content this weekend.  He was laughing and playfully yelling the whole time.  He laughs when you fake cough, pant like a dog, or sing "Shake your Booty."  His hair has taken off this last week and it is getting thicker.  He has now tried green beans and bananas and likes both.  He is up to 3 meals of solid food each day with bottles in between.  With all this eating he just keeps getting longer and longer.  Ty will be 6 months next week- where does the time go.

Handsome Boy!
