Wow! Times flies when you have a baby. Ty turned 5 months last week. This by far has been the best month. Ty is doing so much. Rolling over from back to front and vice versa. I think his record is 5 rolls at one time. He loves to laugh and giggle. For whatever reason he loves to laugh when we tickle him and say "Go sleepy in your crib." He also has a more serious side where he just takes in his surrondings and watches people. He tried sweet potatoes and I think he prefers them over the avocados. He is picking up his toys and putting them in his mouth. We think he is close to teething. He will also pick up his pacifier and will put it in his mouth. Ty is also working on sitting on his own. He can only sit alone for a couple of seconds, but I think it will be soon before he is on his own. Ty is very flexible and can get his toes into his mouth. He also likes to stand when we are holding him. Ty also loves to fall asleep with his cuddle toys. Of course we have to watch him with the toys and take it from him when he falls asleep. It just amazes how much Ty has grown and developed in a short five months.
We had our last post placement meeting last Monday. After the meeting we rushed to the Clerk of Courts and were able to get the adoption finalization hearing scheduled. It is scheduled for Wednesday September 1st. We are excited to get this final step done and out of the way.
