Being goofy
Ty's 14th month was full of development especially in the language area. He is trying hard to communicate with his words. One of the funniest things he has learned to say is "Get Down." He and the other kids at daycare are often told to get down from whatever they are crawling on. Ty started saying get down to other kids and he says it at home when he is crawling on something he is not suppose to. It is the funniest thing! He is so serious about this and even raises his voice to say it. He also say this in the morning when he is ready to get out of the crib. He is repeating so many words it is amazing. He can repeat mine, water, bubbles, no, uh-oh, more, apple, animal, bob (for spongebob), and hockey (which makes his daddy very happy). It is truly amazing how much we can communicate through words now.
All bundled up for his walk-hard to believe in April!
Ty is a pro at walking and is getting better at crawling up on things. He has learned how to turn on and off the TV. He loves to be read to and will grab a book and crawl into your lap when he wants to be read to. Ty continues to love being outdoors. Too bad the spring weather has been so horrible. We try hard to get outside everyday and Ty has discovered the joy of dirt and sticks. He almost ate a grub the other day. Whenever we are outside and a dog walks by he will scream in delight and is so happy when he gets to pet the dog walking by.
He looks like such a boy here!
Feeding the goats at the zoo!
Ty also has had a few temper tantrums when he does not get his way. This is usually when we have to come indoors or we take him away from something. We often just give him a minute or two to calm down and stop crying. Sometimes they last longer. Matt and I often have to hid our laughter at how dramatic his tantrums are. He has also tried biting a few times. I think he is teething some and then when he is frustrated it comes out as biting. I have been assured this is normal. :)
I am not doing anything wrong, mom!
We are so lucky to have a sweet natured (most of the time), happy, and social little guy. We love him so much!
